Selfless Service

Shown at the Relief Society Activity

Sweet is the Work

Doing Good is a Pleasure: Relief Society Activity Details

As disciples of Jesus Christ, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strive to follow the Savior’s admonition to feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, take in the stranger, clothe the naked, and visit the sick and those in prison. The Savior also taught that we are to love and care for each other and visit the fatherless and the widow in their afflictions.

Relief Society Service Project !!!!

Don't miss out!
Wednesday July 25
6:30 - 8:00
in the Relief Society Room

Come be uplifted and catch the spirit of service and learn of ways you can serve in our community!
We will be making bookmarks, cards, and stationary, ect.  for the Juvenal Detention Center in Springville.
So bring any crafting supplies you don't mind sharing or donating (stamps, stickers, scrapbook paper, ect)
And bring a treat to share while we mix, mingle, and serve!

United Way also have other things they are asking to be donated
Please don't feel obligated to do this
But if you happen to have any of this laying around or you don't know what to do with it, this is a great place to bring it

bottles (gently used) '
toys (Gently Used)
books (baby, or children's to adult) (gently used)
Scrapbook supplies
t-shirts  (any size) (the kids make dresses out of them and send them to children in Zambia)
Yarn

Thanks

Anybody want this?

We're trying to get rid of this entertainment center by Saturday. It's free for the taking.

We are asking for $20 for this on ksl but if we can't sell it by then it's welcome to any home that will take it. It's both pieces. We bought it about a year and a half ago. It's in near perfect condition. We are getting rid of it because we have a new one waiting at our new place.

Give me (Mary Ludwig) a call or an email if you are at all interested.

Thinning Shears???

I got my hair cut recently. I like it but the person didn't really thin my hair at all ( I have excessively thick hair), now it just looks and feels too puffy. I know that within a certain time frame you can go back and have them fix something, but I am trying to save myself the stress of just running around doing errands (the bane of my existence) Does anyone have thinning shears I can borrow? I've thinned my own hair lots of times using my in-laws shears, but they are in Washington! Thanks

Cleaning Up the Blog

As I am tying up various loose ends in my life preparing to move, I thought I would clean up the blog. There are a bunch of links on here for people who have not lived in Wymount for quite some time. So, below is a list of links I am going to take off the blog. If you want to keep up with them, please add their link to your personal blog, or save it otherwise. I will wait about a week to remove them so you have time to save them. If anybody on the list below does not want to be removed, just leave a comment and let me know and I will keep you on! It has been a great ride here, and I wish you all the very best as we each continue our journey through this wonderful life.

Twin Bed

We have inherited some bunk beds from my aunt and will not be taking Matthew's bed with us. I thought I would see if anybody is interested in it. We would like to get $20 for it but will take less (ultimately we just need to get rid of it). The drawers underneath are broken but we have all the parts for two of them (one of them was broken when we got it), if you would like to fix them. Even without the drawers it makes for good storage space. The bookshelf at the head of the bed is not connected to the bed frame itself. It is a nice little bed and has worked great for us.

*The toddler rail is not included, nor is the cute red-headed boy in the picture! : )
We will be moving on Saturday, April 21 and would like to have it picked up by that Friday. If you are interested please contact me at: roo_csk@hotmail.com

Great money saving opportunity

Hi sisters! I just signed up for a co-op type program that sells high quality, natural products that we all use every day, like laundry detergent, makeup, shampoo, cleaning products, vitamins, candles, etc. Through the month of March (which unfortunately ends Saturday) there is a special $1 fee to become a member. Normally it is $29. I'm really excited about it and would love to tell more to anyone who's interested. You can email me at anniecarbutt@gmail.com or call me at 719-588-9845. Thanks!
