Baby-sitter Needed

I am looking for someone who would be interested in doing some babysitting starting next week. I just got a job working Monday-Thursday during regular elementary school hours. I am in need of someone who would like to babysit a 16 month old boy from around 8-3:30ish and possibly a 3 year old from 11:30-3:30 (she is at Headstart in the morning and will be looking for a carpool ride home). I'm thinking having someone on Monday/Wednesday, and someone else for Tuesday/Thursday that way it will not be too burdensome on one person. Christmas Sublet

Is anyone who will be out of town over Christmas break interested in subletting their apartment?  My brother-in- law and his family are interested in subletting for one week from 15 Dec -22 Dec.  If you are going out of town and would be willing to sublet your place for the week let me know.

Cheap Lemon Juice!

So my husband and I were given the opportunity to purchase some lemon juice at a way low price. We had to buy it by the case though. While I'm sure it will keep for quite a while, I thought I'd give you guys the opportunity at the price without the case requirement. Voting Today

Just a reminder today is general elections for Provo City.  Our voting place is at the conference center lower level. (It is just kitty corner from wymount the southwest corner of 900 East and University Pkwy).  We are voting for our city councilman.  The two candidates are Yancee Hardy & Gary Garrett.  The voting location is open until 8pm.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Dentist Appointment

A while ago I set up an appointment to have my teeth cleaned at UVU's dental hygiene school. However, as it draws near I don't think it is going to work out for me to make it; I don't know if I want to ask anybody to watch my baby for that long. I am feeling bad about cancelling my appointment because since they are in school and doing it for credit, they need to have all their appointments filled. So, if anybody is interested I would love to let you take my spot! (Or if there is anybody willing to take on my two kids from 7:30 -11:30) My appointment is on Tuesday, September 8th at 8 a.m. It only costs $10 for a cleaning (and they can do x-rays); the kicker is that it takes 3 hours because they have to go through all their procedures and have the instructors check them off. I have been before and they did a good job. So if you have been wanting to get your teeth cleaned, then here is your big chance! : ) E-mail me if you are interested.

November Book Club meeting

Book Club for November will be Wednesday 2 November at 8:00pm in the 1B basement.  The book we are reading is The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom.  For our recipe swap we are bringing something made with pumpkin.  We had a great time last time if you didn't make it then come and join us in November. =)

Book Club and Recipe Swap!!

I am starting a community book club and recipe swap and I am hoping that all of you will come out and join us! It is a combined activity, so you can choose to participate in either one or both of the activities.

Our first meeting will be held Tuesday, October 4th at 8 pm in the 1B basement. Please bring a book that you would like to have the rest of the club read- either one that you have already read or one that you would like to read (I will be compiling the books into a list which will be our reading schedule for the next however many months), plus any ideas for recipe swap themes that you may have.

And speaking of the recipe swap- If you so choose to participate in the swap, we are keepin' it classic and simple for the first time around: please bring a batch of your favorite COOKIES and at least 10 copies of the recipe to share!

I hope to see all of you there- it should be a lot of fun!! Oh, and PLEASE be sure to spread the word- this book club is not being done through Relief Society, and therefore, will NOT be limited to just members of our ward- and please invite anyone in the area who might like to participate!
